Datapulse to supply Net6 Application Gateway

Datapulse is to be Nortel's UK and European supplier of the Citrix (Net6) Application Gateway, which gives access to both voice and data applications from a single device improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Erlanger Health Systems has benefited from deploying Application Gateway to deliver applications to both users on its Ip telephones and to clinicians and physicians using handheld devices. Erlanger uses Visual Voicemail, Express Directory and Conference Manager applications on Ip phones as well as medical applications on PDAs.

"If it was just phone, then the cost of replacing your system might not justify (moving to IP) up front, but with all the applications we can run from IP telephones, or from these devices that are almost computers that happen to do voice, it makes things worthwhile," said Danny Stephens, Network Analyst at Erlanger Health Systems.
